"Jeff helps feed children in Swaziland"
Jeff is a part of nutritious meal planning with Principal/teacher Hlalisile, (Hal-la-see-lee) a loving, caring person who works tirelessly to teach and feed the children, many who walk for miles to attend school. Sadly, Swaziland holds the world's highest known rates of HIV/AIDS infection; this leaves many children without parents. Other family members try to step in and raise the children. Many of the children at the school have lost both parents.
How does Jeff participate when he is in Canada and the children are in Swaziland? The ‘boots on the ground’ in Phonjwane, Swaziland is an organization in Canada called Missionary Ventures. They work with many different third world people reaching out, helping, and teaching them to live and survive. The organization “maintains integrity, excellence and passion” and they are Jeff’s eyes and ears overseeing this project for the children in Swaziland.

What kind of food are the children receiving? From the beginning less than a year ago the children were given a hot nutritious meal 5 days a week. The first type of meal provided to the children consisted of hot porridge, undiluted whole milk, (a luxury) and some fruit (banana or orange)
There are more children in the village that need fed and Jeff intends to make that happen.
